There is definitely an uptick in energy, with more calls coming into the office from out of town visitors intent on purchasing a home on Bainbridge Island and stronger open houses for both residential and condos.
We have seen a few more homes hit the market with a current residential inventory of 200 and stable condo inventory of 95.

2008: 186 sold
2007: 331 sold
2006: 350 sold
2005: 442 sold
2004: 467 sold
2003: 453 sold
As opposed to this year to date: 19.
The weather is fantastic, tulips are coming up and though we still find ourselves in a very uncertain market, there is a sense of shift in the wind!
FYI: Dinah and I just took the kids to Whistler/Blackcomb for a 5 night ski trip. This was our first visit. From our door to the Marriott Residence Inn (ski-in-ski-out) in 225 miles and 5.45 hours! A beautiful drive and for us, a great new discovery!
