I have lived here for four years now and today I woke up as excited as I ever was about everything that is special about living here on Bainbridge Island! I don't take a moment of this life, here in this remarkable community, for granted.
Last night I brought Dashiell, Desi and Oliver, and our friend Byron, to the All Comers Track Meet that is held every Monday night from 6:00 until about 8:30 at the Bainbridge High School Track. The second I got there I ended up volunteering to enter the times from my favorite event, the mile, so I got to be of service and meet a lot of new people quickly!
The kids had a blast, running in almost every event. Watching them run around the track; play between matches, running free around the field; meeting new and old friends, all of it brought me so much joy!
I'll be there every Monday! The kids can't wait and now they want to train with their obsessive Dad, the runner!
